This section contains much of the material shown on our original website. It is devoted to maintaining a record of the communities that were part of the Celebration network, and also provides a place to access material published by or about the Community. More material will be added as it becomes available.

Community History

Contains a brief description of the various Communities of Celebration, from their origin at the Church of the Redeemer in Houston, USA, to the Community as it is today, a vowed religious community within the Episcopal Church of the United States. For many of its formative years, the Community was based in Britain. For more information about the development of the modern Community, check out the following link to a site describing a book to be published in 2010: www.followingthespirit.org

Rule of Life

Describes some of the core components of the Community's Rule of Life, with a commentary. The Rule was developed mainly in the 1990s during the transition from a lifestyle community to a modern form of religious order.

Articles & News

In this section you can access past copies of Celebration Link (the newsletter of Celebration's UK house), as well as some articles about community life.

Music Products

The Community was well known internationally for its music in worship, and recordings by the Fisherfolk. Most of these are still available on CD or cassette. This section lists the recordings available with a link to the Community's music store.
